Genre: Flash Fiction

In no more than 500 words, capture the most memorable vacation you’ve ever taken.

Genre: Poetry

Choose a metal. Research the properties of that metal and write a poem about a recent experience in your life where you can draw parallels between the metal and your actions, thoughts, or feelings about the experience.

Genre: Personal Essay

Father’s Day was this past weekend. For some, it drums up happy memories of family vacations, practical jokes, and loving, if sometimes absurd, advice. For others, it means the pain of loss, neglect, or no memories at all. Who was your father and how did he impact your life?
